The climate and the excellent beaches of course lend themselves to a variety of water sports like wind surfing, surfing, water ski-ing, etc. The International Sports Marina at Torrevieja also offers facilities for yachting and diving. Paragliding is also very popular in the area, and there are a couple of paragliding centres located to the north of Torrevieja at Santa Pola.
